Information About Dennis Camp Photography History, Etc.

Information about why I started taking pictures when I was 10 years old, and then making pictures since age 22.
I began taking photographs and then learned to make pictures many years ago as a kid into my adult life. First with a Brownie camera, then a Kodiak 110 and later with a Canon AE1-P. A Canon Rebel which broke.
My first digital camera an HP315 and HP318 2.0 mp I switched to DSLR Nikon Cameras when I went deeper into digital photography.
I began to learn much more about photography from now old friends on a website called Photopoints. This is where I learned much for some of the great photographers internationally.
“It is not what you see, it is how you see it, that makes a good picture…” Dennis W. Camp
Over time I have taken many pictures of so many things it is hard to say if there is a favorite thing I like photographing. Everything from award winning hot air balloon glows photos, to documentary street photography at historic places.
I seem to enjoy most everything but wedding and senior portraits. Things I really enjoy are still life, to portrait, architecture, nature, special events and always when I am traveling. Some photographer friends like my fog pictures.
Photographers run our family from my grand father’s studio in the village in NYC on down to me. I take pictures of everything that moves, or does not move.
My love for taking pictures is a obsession. I always carry some sort of camera. For me, photography it is about the light and the moment. Now I also use my IPhone camera phone when my DLS cameras are not allowed.
I use a Nikon Coolpix P7700, Nikon D70, D200, D700, D600 and D610. I use a multitude of Nikkor Lens I use for most of my work. If you are looking for a natural light photographer for your event, or personal needs. Contact us for details on how we can help you.
